Data BrewMeter stores

Your caffeine entries (date, amount, quantity, optional notes, and selected beverage) and custom beverage definitions are stored in BrewMeter’s app database on your device. When iCloud is available for BrewMeter, the app-created caffeine log and custom drinks sync through the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account so your own devices can stay in sync. The developer does not receive this private database data.

Optional HealthKit access

If you grant permission, BrewMeter can write caffeine entries that you explicitly log and can read recent sleep timing when you open the Insights comparison. Sleep samples read from HealthKit are held in memory for that view; BrewMeter does not persist them in its database, copy them to CloudKit, or send them to the developer. Records already written to HealthKit remain under your control in the Health app.

You can change or revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in the Health app or system Settings. BrewMeter continues to work without HealthKit.

Notifications and exports

Optional reminders are scheduled locally by iOS and can be disabled in BrewMeter or system Settings. CSV export uses the system share sheet and sends data only to the destination you choose.

Support form

If you use the support form, only the fields you enter are sent through Formspree so the developer can reply. Formspree processes that message under its own privacy policy. Support messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the request; you may use the same form to request deletion.

Retention and deletion

You can delete individual caffeine entries in History. “Delete BrewMeter Data” in Settings removes the app’s caffeine history and custom drinks from the local database and private iCloud sync, resets app settings, and cancels pending reminders. It does not delete records already saved in the Health app; those can be managed in Health. Removing the app alone may not remove its private iCloud data, which you can delete through BrewMeter or your iCloud storage settings.

No tracking or sale

BrewMeter has no developer account, advertising, or third-party analytics. The developer does not sell personal data or use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data mining.
