Current policy · 14 August 2026

Your routine stays yours.

FastZen stores fasting records and settings on your device. The app has no developer-operated account, analytics service, advertising system or backend.

  • No tracking
  • Local records
  • Local reminders
  • No health diagnosis

Scope

This policy covers the FastZen iOS app and its public website. FastZen is a timer and journal for a routine you choose; it is not medical or nutritional advice.

Data in the app

The app can store start and end times, selected plan and duration, mood, notes, completion history, routine days and time, notification preference and summary statistics. These records are stored locally with SwiftData and device preferences.

FastZen does not send this information to the developer. Apple may include app data in a device backup according to your device and iCloud settings.

Reminders and Live Activities

If you grant permission, FastZen schedules routine and fasting reminders through the local notification system. The developer does not operate a push server.

When you start a Live Activity, iOS displays timing state on supported system surfaces. FastZen updates it locally; it does not use remote push updates.

Optional purchases

The app can request configured products through Apple StoreKit. Apple processes purchases and payment details. FastZen reads Apple's verified transaction result to complete the selected purchase; the developer does not receive card details. Apple applies its own privacy policy.

Website and support

The public site is hosted on GitHub Pages and has no analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts. GitHub processes connection data needed to serve the pages, and product screenshots may be delivered by Apple's content-delivery network.

FastZen sends nothing to Formspree merely because you use the app. If you submit the support form, Formspree receives the email address, message, category and optional app or OS version that you provide so the developer can reply. Please do not include fasting notes or sensitive health information.

What is not done

  • No cross-app or cross-site tracking.
  • No behavioural analytics, advertising SDK or data broker.
  • No sale of personal information or sharing for targeted advertising.
  • No developer cloud database for fasting records.

The iOS privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected-data categories. It declares UserDefaults access for app preferences.

Your choices

You can edit or delete records, disable reminders, end a Live Activity, decline optional purchases and avoid the support form. Uninstalling removes the app's local container, subject to backups you control. An updated policy will be published here when product behaviour changes.
