Mode 1
Free
You ride. The road climbs and descends, resistance follows the terrain, the distance adds up. Nothing is waiting for you anywhere.

Ride alone, far, for a long time.
A road that never ends, landscapes that shift with the hour, and nothing to do but ride.

No leaderboard. No rivals. No badges to unlock.
A road builds itself ahead of you and never stops. You choose the effort; the world takes care of the rest.
The world
The terrain is generated as you go: forests, valleys, climbs, clearings, lakes. There is no circuit, no lap and no finish line — only what comes next.
Every world has a seed. Note it down and you will find exactly the same road again; change it and you set off somewhere else.

Three ways to ride
You do not get on the bike for the same reason every day. Échappée does not pretend otherwise.
Mode 1
You ride. The road climbs and descends, resistance follows the terrain, the distance adds up. Nothing is waiting for you anywhere.

Mode 2
A structured session drives the effort. The landscape follows the intensity without ever turning the road into a rollercoaster, and the next block is always announced.

Mode 3
No data, no measured effort, not a single number on screen. You travel through the world, that is all. Speed can be adjusted if you insist; otherwise you forget about it.

The light
From first light to a sky full of stars, the light follows a full cycle. Let it run, pin it to an hour, or follow your device clock.

Sessions
Import your .zwo files: they stay readable, exportable and yours. Build your own with the built-in editor — steady blocks, ramps, intervals, free rides — duplicate them, edit them, star the ones you keep coming back to.
Every ride is recorded locally. The summary gives you time in each zone, elevation gain and distance, and exports whenever you want it.

Hardware
Échappée connects over Bluetooth to FTMS-compatible smart trainers — turbo trainers, in British usage. It reads your power and cadence, and controls resistance in ERG mode, where the target is imposed, or in SIM mode, where resistance follows the gradient of the terrain.
Riding, following a workout or taking an FTP test requires a compatible connected trainer. With no hardware, Contemplation mode still lets you travel through the world at your own pace, without invented sports data.
Privacy
Échappée opens no network connection — not even to start. This is not a switch buried in a settings screen: the app simply has no server.
Platforms
One €25 purchase, three screen sizes. The interface adapts to the space available; the world does not change.

Questions
Yes for riding, following a workout or taking an FTP test: Échappée requires a connected FTMS trainer compatible with the chosen mode. With no hardware, Contemplation mode lets you travel through the world without creating fictitious power, cadence or statistics.
Any trainer that speaks the Bluetooth FTMS standard, which covers most recent connected trainers. Échappée reads power and cadence and, where the device allows it, controls resistance in ERG mode or by following the gradient.
If your model does not show up, write to us with the brand and exact reference: that is precisely the information that moves compatibility forward.
Neither. There is no account system, and the app opens no network connection. Your settings, your sessions and your history stay on your device.
Yes. Import reads .zwo files; the built-in editor creates and edits them; export gives them back in the same standard format, readable elsewhere.
No, and that is not an oversight. There is no leaderboard, no rival, no clock to beat and no badge. The road rewards nothing: it continues.
In settings, pick a lighter graphics profile. The energy-saving profile cuts the load noticeably while keeping the road perfectly readable. If the problem persists, support needs your device model and its system version.
