A question, a bug, a trainer that refuses to connect? Start with the answers below; the form is at the bottom of the page.
Quick answers
The most frequent cases, in the order they tend to happen.
My trainer does not appear in the list
- Check that Bluetooth is on and that you granted the permission to Échappée.
- Wake the trainer: turn the pedals once. Many models broadcast nothing while asleep.
- Close other apps connected to the same device — a trainer only connects to one app at a time.
- Restart the scan from the Devices screen.
Real Bluetooth only exists in the installed app. Sports rides therefore cannot start in a browser; Contemplation mode remains available.
Power shows up but resistance does not follow
Some trainers broadcast their power without accepting control. Check that yours advertises the FTMS control service, and that no other app has claimed it. In Free mode, resistance follows the gradient; in Workout mode, it follows the ERG target.
Importing, editing or exporting a session
From the Workouts screen: import reads a .zwo file, the editor creates and modifies, export hands back a standard .zwo. A built-in session is duplicated before being edited.
Getting your data out, or deleting it
History and sessions export from inside the app, as files that belong to you. Deletion happens session by session, or all at once for the history. Uninstalling Échappée erases every local trace — there is no copy anywhere else.
What actually helps us answer
Because the app sends no automatic report — it opens no connection at all — a useful request contains what we cannot guess:
- the Échappée version, shown in the main menu;
- the device and its system version;
- the mode you were in and what you were doing;
- for a connection problem: the exact brand and model of the trainer.
The form below asks for those, in that order.
